Jaeson "Nino" Becker --- the grand-daddy of the Memorial, he has not missed a single event since the tournament's inception. From the "man-down" incident in Memphis, to the "phantom birdie" in the Lake of the Ozarks, and even Luger dressed in women's clothing, this man has seen it all. His heart and soul will forever be wrapped in the honorary tournament flag.

A moment for the history books: on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Bear Creek Golf Club in Wentzville, MO, Jaeson etched his name in legend as the first-ever Double Decader—twenty years of fierce competition, unshakable presence, and six Nino Memorial titles to his name. That’s not just longevity; that’s legacy. The fairways of Bear Creek will never forget it. Here's to the Grizzly who roared for two decades and counting.

Dave "Dusty" Hoffman --- This once staunch participant in all things Memorial has turned into a slacker. Some say it is because he is now with child; others report he is simply a candy-ass. A three-time champ, most wonder if he can ever take the title again. Only time will tell.

Judge Tim "Toolman" Boyer --- Mr. Boyer started out his Memorial career strong, winning at his first Nino Memorial in Tunica, 2003. He exudes the spirit of Memorial - he comes to win, but also to party. Despite the fact he carries a badge for work, he doesn't let that slow him down. He continues to regulate, after all these years. One expects him to be an easy candidate for the double-decader, particularly since he loves a little R&R away from the little lady. Boyer is also the first person to win the Tartan jacket in his first and final year of his Decader.

Tim "Eagleglass" Spiegelglass --- earned the Decader title with distinction. Once this golfer competed in his first Nino Memorial in 2007, he was hooked. The three-time champ is now the leading man when it comes to planning, logistics, and just plain-old having a good time. His enthusiasm for the tournament itself is commensurate with his skill as an elite (while at the same time mediocre) golfer. His pairings with Tim "Toolman" Boyer (another prestigious Decader with 6 titles) have proven to be almost unbeatable in recent years. It is with great pride that the Nino Memorial recognized Eagleglass with the Decader award on July 11, 2015.

In 2020, Jeff "Smailz" Small finally achieved the moniker of "Decader." It took him five years to accomplish this goal after appearing at nine events in preceding years. The whole crew cheered him on as he was awarded the prized navy jacket and accompanying certificate. Following the event, his wife was interviewed regarding this milestone event. She indicated it was more important to him than his M.D. Dr. Small could not be reached for comment following the event.

In 2023, the tournament reached new heights with two Decaders joining the pantheon of legends: Phil “CHiP” Ruben and Aaron “Denmark” Vickar. For ten years, they’ve embodied the grit, brilliance, and spirit of the game like no others. Phil’s Decader Ceremony at NMXXII promises to be a celebration befitting such a towering milestone. Ten years, two icons—an era defined.
